The committee of International Emmy Television Awards has sent a letter of invitation to the lead actors of '20 Minutes' and 'Karadayi' series to attend the awards ceremony.
The International Emmy Television Awards offered to projects aired outside the United States will be given this year for the 42th time to their owners. Ay Yapim company, whose owner Kerem Catay was a jury member in the last year's competition, presented this year its candidature to the competition where television series and programs from around the world with "20 Minutes" and “Karadayi". The ceremony committee has prenominated both series for the “best series” category. They have also prenominated the lead actors of “20 minutes” Tuba Büyüküstün and İlker Aksum together with “Karadayı” ones Bergüzar Korel and Kenan İmirzalıoğlu for “best actress"/"best actor” categories. The Committee sent individual letters to the four actors inviting them as pre-nominee to attend the award ceremony to be organized in New York. The nominees for International Emmy Television Awards , will be announced at the beginning of November. Emmy Awards that are considered the Oscars of the TV world will be presented to the winners at the ceremony scheduled for November 24th.
İlker Aksum who declared being excited by the letter of invitation said 'the fact of being even pre-nominee in a large organization like the Emmy Awards is something to be proud of. If I am nominated, I will go to the awards ceremony. Hopefully I will also reach the prize; it would be then a first in Turkey'.
